On June 14th, in classroom D308, we host a professional information seminar named “Construct the world, construct the future”. The target audience of the lecture is mainly for international students majoring in civil engineering of 2022, as well as those international students interested in civil engineering. Junliang Zhao, the director of College of Civil Engineering and Architecture International Education Office, gave the lecturer.
Firstly, Professor Zhao made a brief introduction of current development status and future development prospects of civil engineering in the world, mainly to help students have more clearer understanding of their future career direction. Furthermore, he says during their study, there will involve knowledge of history, architecture, materials, software, structure and management, he hoped students have an overall and comprehensive understanding of this major and increase knowledge accumulation. Finally, in combination with the professional training program, Mr. Zhao made a detailed explanation of the requirements of the academic system, curriculum and graduation requirements, he required students to be down-to-earth and earnestly complete their studies.
The seminar was very successful. The teacher had an in-depth communication with the new students of Grade 2022, which made the students have a deeper understanding of the civil engineering major, which is of great significance for making clear choice of academic direction and future career planning.
