(a) State Key Laboratory of Soft Soil Foundation and Tideland Reclamation,

The State Key Laboratory of Soft Soil Foundation and Tideland Reclamation within CACE contain a diverse range of conventional soil, rock and asphalt testing equipment, along with specialist equipment used primarily to support the School’s research. Notable inclusions are GDS triaxial cells, pressure plates, oedometers, GDS dynamical triaxial apparatus, CKC, GDS oedometers, model testing equipment for soil dynamics and soft soil consolidation, GDS true triaxial apparatus, Hollow Cylinder apparatus,  ring shear apparatus, a large shear box, a high pressure triaxial cells for testing gravel, rock and sands, as well as an asphalt testing laboratory.

(b) Municipal Key Research Center of Building Energy-Saving/Emission-Reduction and Disaster-Mitigation

The Municipal Key Research Center of Building Energy-Saving/Emission-Reduction and Disaster-Mitigation within CACE support the research of academic staff, and postgraduate and undergraduate students involved in experimental research on various aspects of Structural Engineering. The laboratories are equipped with universal testing machines and MTS. The laboratories maintain a capacity for high load testing, ranging from 10 kN to 5000 kN. This lab would help improving the understanding at the materials level and for the development of refined, mechanically based, structural models and other new material structures.
