April 9th, Class 2017 and Class 2018 international students majoring in Civil Engineering of College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, led by Associate Professor Zhao Junliang, Dr. Fan Ning, went to Wenrun Avenue Southern Section Double-deck Viaduct Project for civil engineering professional practice.

The project is located on Wenrun Avenue, Ouhai District, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. The superstructure of this project is the main line bridge. Except for the third link, which uses steel-concrete composite beams, all other parts are prefabricated small box beams. The upper part is assembled on the east side of the Ouhai Avenue viaduct. The structure adopts prefabricated hollow slabs, and the west side width adopts prestressed concrete cast-in-place box girder. Except for the construction of the Z1 ramp bridge pier body and cover beam using the prefabricated assembly method for the substructure, the rest of the bridge piers are constructed by cast-in-place construction.

Through this professional practice, students can have a certain understanding of the on-site construction process of the viaduct. They can understand the application of bridge joints in the process of bridge construction and the problems that may be encountered in actual construction.

Through the detailed introduction and patient explanations of the two teachers, the students learned the size and type of bridge joints, materials and solutions to related problems. The students said that the knowledge learned in the classroom is mainly about the building structure and this practice broadened the students' professional knowledge and benefited a lot.

Taking into account the cause of the epidemic, the students participating in this on-site professional internship are all students on campus. During the internship, the video was recorded and shared with students who are still overseas, so that everyone can learn and make progress together.
